Islington Council are looking for a group of mums and dads to become Parent Champions.

13/03/2017

Are you the parent of a child or young person in Islington? Do you like talking with other parents?

As a Parent Champion, you will have had experience of:

  • using one of the Early Help family support services (Families First, Children’s Centres, IFIT) and/or
  • attending a parenting programme in Islington.

You'll be helping other families learn about the support on offer. You will receive training to undertake the role, which will be provided by Healthwatch.

Healthwatch are holding two information sessions for parents to come and find out more about this opportunity:

  • Wednesday 29th March, 1.30 - 3pm or
  • Friday 21st April, 10 - 11.30am.

Both sessions will be held at Laycock Professional Development Centre.

To register for one of the information sessions please contact Sarah Lee by email or phone 0207 832 5828.

If you are a professional in one of the Early Help services and would like to take a role in supporting the Parent Champions after completion of their training, or would like more information about the Parent Champions scheme, please contact Jenny Ling at jenny.ling@islington.gov.uk or on 020 7527 6937.
