Increasing the uptake of the flu vaccination among BME communities in Islington

Manor Gardens Welfare Trust and Healthwatch Islington are hosting a series of online events around the flu vaccination on behalf of the North Central London healthcare commissioners. This event is the third in a series of three.

We are aware that the uptake of the flu vaccination among the black and minority ethnic community in Islington is low. This event is for groups and organisations who work with the local BME community.

We will increase awareness of the importance of the flu vaccination; provide accurate information related to vaccinations, and specifically the flu vaccination, including ‘myth-busting’; and promote the availability and ways of accessing the vaccination across the Borough.

Come ready to talk about issues your clients may have and to work together to encourage residents to understand the importance of the flu vaccination this year.
