It's been a great year of growth for Healthwatch Islington. We are the independent champion for people who use health and social care services in the borough.
Summary
We are here to find out what matters to people and help make sure their views shape the support they need. We also help people find the information they need about local services.
Our year in numbers
- 1,133 people shared their experiences of health and social care services with us, helping to raise awareness of issues and improve care.
- 390 residents came to us for clear advice and information about topics such as mental health and the cost of living crisis.
- There were 4,945 visits to the advice pages on our website.
- We published 7 reports about the improvements people would like to see in health and care.
- We were lucky to have 49 outstanding volunteers, who gave their time across 135 days to make care better for our community.

- Improving the messaging on GP phone lines and websites
- Helping increase uptake of cancer screening services
- Hearing feedback on services from the LGBTQI+ community
- Raising awareness of the dangers of high blood pressure
