  3. Moorfields Eye Hospital - Enter and View visits

    Over a two week period in September 2018 we conducted three visits to Moorfields Eye Hospital on City Road.

  4. More feedback about urgent and same day GP services

    We went back to Ritchie Street to talk to more patients, particularly young adults, using the walk in centre. We also held a focus group for Deaf patients, and visited GP surgeries to see how easy it was to register as a patient.

  5. Community services: Talking to patients using health centres in Islington

    We spoke to 82 patients accessing a variety of community services from 6 health centres across the borough.

  6. Whittington Hospital Enter and View visits

    We visited the Imaging Department, and the Fracture and Antenatal Clinics. We asked outpatients about the information they had been sent ahead of their appointment. We also asked them how easy it was find their way around the hospital.

  7. Meaningful activities in care homes and nursing homes in Islington

    Our Enter and View volunteers have visited six care homes and nursing homes across the borough. They spoke to residents, their carers and relatives, and to staff.

    Healthwatch Islington was commissioned by Manor Gardens Welfare Trust to provide an independent evaluation of the Bright Beginnings project.

    We spoke to 90 local residents to capture their views on maternity services, emergency care, the use of digital technology, and health services located in the community.

    We spoke to 28 learning disabled residents and support workers to capture their views on emergency care, the use of digital technology, and health services located in the community.

  11. NHS Long Term Plan

    Local Healthwatch from Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington organised surveys, focus groups and interviews to find out what people thought of existing NHS services and to get ideas on how to make services better.

  24. Nafsiyat: Intercultural Therapeutic Support: An Evaluation

    Nafsiyat is a charity offering intercultural therapy in over 20 languages to people from diverse cultural communities. They asked us to evaluate their Intercultural Therapy Service for Bengali and Sylheti speakers.

  25. Mystery shopping the accessibility of Islington pharmacies

    Healthwatch Islington volunteers and staff visited 40 Islington pharmacies. The aim of these visits was to observe the physical space of the pharmacy and comment on its accessibility.
